Introduction

VisibleDust's Orange Series DHAP Sensor Cleaning Swab is one of two types of sensor swabs by the Canadian company. The Green Series Swabs are excellent for removing "welded" dust from the sensor. I've been using these swabs for the last couple of years. With the excellent performance of the Green series, I never tried the Orange series swabs until now. The Orange Series Sensor Swabs share the same design of the Green Series, with the mini-channel design that provide an even saturation of the paddles surface while preventing pooling and vertical flow at the edge. The difference between the swabs are the fabric that they are made of. The Orange series have DHAP Super Soft Fabric, while the Green series have Ultra MXD-100 fabric. The two swabs are recommended for different fluids. The Orange Series Sensor Swabs are recommended for VDust Plus™ and Smear Away™.

Verdict

VisibleDust's Orange Series Sensor Cleaning Swabs is yet another great product from the Canadian company. So which swabs do I recommend? well both the Green Series and the Orange Series. It really depends on what type of problem that you intend to use them for. For welded dust, I recommend the Green Series. For problems with streaking, I recommend the Orange Series. Best of all is when you can get around the use of swabs at all, with products like the Arctic Butterfly. But sooner or later you will need to do a "wet" cleaning of the sensor.
