The Nikkor 20mm f/2.8 AI-S reviewed here dates back to 1984, it has a 62mm filter thread and features Nikons CRC (close range correction) which maintains image quality at near-focusing distances. VerdictThe Nikon 20mm is a ok lens, it just costs to much, and in my opinion it does not live up to it's price. Compared to the Nikon 17-35 AF-S, the 17-35 @ 20mm outperforms the 20mm AI-S by quite a bit. On the plus side, the contrast and the OOF is really nice on the Nikkor 20mm f/2.8 AI-S.
